My son has all of a sudden discovered his PR roots and I have been trying to teach him about dominoes. Your site is a wonderful resource. Here's a picture I took in San Juan: (http://www.domsoto.com/pr/pr3/dominoes.jpg)

Send me some senario strategies for the doudle 6 500 game. We also call the chiva 500 to Zero known as chiva blanka.
and 500 to under 100 called a chiva con pelo. When el tranque is equal the person who does the tranque wins.
when you win with a double we give a bonus point of 25. If a person pass with a number he can play. That team forfits that hand and the oponents get the remaining points.

Hi,

I was looking around for the rules to dominoes, Puerto Rican style :-)

We've played a couple of times with our friend, Alphonso who owns La Isla Puerto Rican restaurant in Seattle: http://www.laislaseattle.com/

I thought that I would read up on the rules a little so we didn't look so stupid the next time. We play dominoes with our friends, but they are strange games like Mexican Train, and one called Spinner. They are similar, but a little goofy.

So, thanks for the info on your site.
